Billingshurst / Horsham
This cabin is a little bit special! Very much a one off built in the back corner of a garden of a listed building.
Measuring 3m x 4m and an overall height of 3 meters. Obviously the build had to go through planning permission which took the normal 8 weeks to be approved. Both gable ends are in double glazed panels, the roof and porch overhang has lovely cedar shingles which is supported by two 12 inch Elm tree trucks. The back and right walls are clad in 8" Redwood Featheredge, the front has Oak Waney Edge cladding and the right wall has fresh cut Elm Waney boards. A real mix of materials which only adds to the charm of this little structure. Internally, the ceiling has our "standard" exposed beams, is fully insulated and has Rustic Oak hardwood flooring. Needless to say, the owners were over the moon with the result, even better than they had imagined. |
