Bespoke Timber playhouse as seen on BBC's DIY SOS, Hampshire
The Cabin is now named "Harry's Hideout", a custom built Tiny House.
It took 11 days and some nights to build Harry's playhouse while the BBC program was being filmed and delivered (towed from Berkshire) to the family home in Whitley, Hampshire. Once it was lifted into the garden by crane it was lowered into a pre dug pit which meant the wheels were below ground providing wheelchair access for Reuben. |
Hanna and Mike have three kids, two of whom are twins who were born prematurely. One now suffers from cerebral palsy and the other is profoundly deaf. The family house is tiny and the cramped conditions are making life extremely difficult and at times dangerous for the growing boys. Nick Knowles and DIY SOS team call on friends, family and the local community to come to the aid of this young family and build a single story extension in just nine days.
We built the DIY SOS playhouse /cabin for 8 year old Harry featured on the program and will be used as part of a life changing transformation to the home for the family in Fareham. |
